What to expect

At the time you’ve booked, your counsellor will give you a call. It may show as an unknown number.

They’ll start by introducing themselves. There’s no pressure to say everything perfectly or have it all worked out.

They might gently ask what’s brought you to counselling at this point, and what you’re hoping for from the process. This just helps them get a sense of what’s going on for you and how they might support you.

They may also check in around anything important they should be aware of, such as your wellbeing or any medical support you’re receiving, just to make sure you’re getting the right kind of care.

You’ll have time to ask any questions as well, whether that’s about how sessions work, availability, or anything else on your mind.

Towards the end of the call, they’ll talk you through what a first session would look like, so you have a clearer idea of what to expect.

There’s no obligation to continue after the call. It’s simply a chance to see if it feels like a good fit for you.
