Trauma Counselling | Moira and Lisburn
Sometimes it’s hard to put into words what’s going on.
You might feel on edge a lot of the time, or overwhelmed more easily than you used to. At other times, you might feel distant or disconnected, like you’re not quite yourself.
Even when things look okay on the outside, something inside doesn’t feel settled.
Trauma isn’t always one big event. Often it’s something that built up over time, or a sense of not feeling safe, supported, or understood when you needed to be.
Your system finds ways to cope with that. And those ways can stay with you.
That might look like anxiety that doesn’t make sense, overthinking that’s hard to switch off, or a feeling of being stuck in patterns you can’t quite shift.
I work in a way that pays attention to your nervous system as well as your thoughts. We take things slowly, and at your pace.
There’s no pressure to explain everything or to go into anything before you’re ready. We start with where you are now, and begin to make sense of things together.
Over time, this can help you feel more settled, more connected to yourself, and less overwhelmed.
You don’t need to have a clear reason to come. It’s enough to feel that something isn’t quite right.
If you’re thinking about reaching out, I offer a free 15-minute intro call. This is a chance to talk briefly and ask any questions you have.
I offer trauma counselling for clients in Moira, Lisburn, Lurgan, Hillsborough and surrounding areas, I also work online across Northern Ireland.
